First, They Erased Our Name is the memoir, human rights and ethnic demographic book which tells how the government of Burma is violating human rights. Habiburahman and Sophie Ansel are the authors of this impressive book. Habiburahman born and raised in a small village of western Burma. He was a Muslim and Muslims are consider inferiors in Burma. The government of Burma was not polite with the Muslim community and they often irritate with the complicated rules. Habiburahman was thirteen years old in 1982 when the dictatorship of Burma takes the citizenship of Habiburahman and millions of other Muslims.

They are stateless and all of them have to leave Burma as soon as possible. Habiburahman’s family left everything which they have and moving towards the boarders with hope to settle down in Asia. Unfortunately, they got no luck and it’s been an endless journey for Habiburahman to settle. He spends three years in jail while moving to Europe and still he did not does anything for his people. Now after three decades, Burma’s government once again asked the Muslims to leave the country in 2016, when 70,000 Muslims left the country and cross the Bangladesh border. This is a well-written and describes a book about the struggles of the Muslim community in Burma.
