The Source is the history, fiction, thriller, literature and paranormal novel which describe the story of an ancient place Makor, near Jerusalem. James A. Michener is the author of this classic novel. There are three archaeologists who are digging in Makor near, Jerusalem. They are looking for the artefacts and they have succeeded in their mission. Mark Miller is the head of the crew and they have found the Roman temple, mosque, basilica, and mosque. They have discovered three sites and all of them have different backgrounds. There are four chapters in this novel which contains different stories for the reader.
“The Bee Eater”, takes the reader in 9831 B.C which introduces us with the character of Ur. He is a magnificent hunter and his son has interests in the science of plants. His son spends his entire day in the forest in collecting plants and seeds. Unfortunately, the son of Ur died after the attack of wild boar. Ur cannot control his emotions and keep asking the same question from himself, “Why do I live” and this question leads him to make two gods. A God of Life and the God of Death. There are a few other stories from the chapters. James A. Michener describes in details about the history of Jews, Christians, and Jerusalem in this novel.
