This novel is a sequel to A Dog’s Purpose, after its success the author wrote the further story. In this novel, the story starts with a dog, his name is Buddy and it is the same dog which is the main character in the previous novel. He has to do just to look after the Ethan and that’s the purpose of his life. Ethan was the human and they both spend the quality time together.

After meeting with Ethan, he feels the love for the other humans as well then he meets the Clarity June. Clarity June was the granddaughter of Ethan and she has no one to take care on her in the family. Her mother name was Gloria and she never really took care of her. She is the miserable and selfish lady and this thing put her life into trouble. Gloria needs somebodies help and if Ethan was there, she will ask a buddy to help him. Buddy is there to take care of her and while doing this, Buddy died and reborn several times.
