Gates of Fire is the military, thriller, fiction and history novel which describe the battle events between two great nations. Steven Pressfield is the author of this classic novel. There is a mountain in northern Greece which is known as Thermopylae. Werxes was the leader of the Persian army who moves from south to eastern cost through Greece. They wanted to invade the Greeks forces and their army is good in numbers. When Leonidas came to know about the march of Persian forces then raised the army of almost seven-thousands from different cities of states. He established his army on mountains to stop the Persians through Thermopylae.

At his first sight the plan was working but when the Persian forces do not come through he sends his forces from the backside of the mountains. Leonidas remains on the Thermopylae along with his three-hundred companions. Werxes turn up with his millions of family against Spartans at Thermopylae. He was not expecting any kind of clash from them but Leonidas is not in the mode of letting things go in an easy way. The battle begins between forces, Persians are millions in number on the other side there are only three-hundred Spartans. Battle did not end till the black rocks on the mountain did not turn into red. The battle did not end until the last soldier of Spartan. Persian won the battle and there left one injured Spartan to tell the story of this great battle.
