“The Rosie Project” novel is a lovely Love story that makes you laugh out loud. Graeme Simsion is the guy behind this novel. Graeme Simsion is a former IT consultant and the author of two nonfiction books on database design who decided, at the age of fifty, to turn his hand to fiction. His “The Rosie Project” is translated in over thirty-five languages. The Rosie is a story of an extraordinarily brilliant man, the genetics professor, who probably falls somewhere on the autism spectrum of PDD and appears to have knowledge and understanding of that on some level. He is aware he is brilliant, but awkward and unsettled in social situations.

He has particular troubles interacting with women in a meaningful way but hopes to someday find a wife, despite the uncertainty of what a wife is or means. Thus, the birth of the Rosie Project, named for a woman he hopes to pursue and isn’t sure how. Don, as a scientist, devises a “sue fire” method for assessing the various possibilities of candidates in the same way a researcher would seek information on any other subject, a questionnaire!!

In the midst of that as his friendship with Rosie develops, he becomes involved with her own personal quest to find her biological father whose identity is unknown since her mom’s death when Rosie was a young child. Their adventures together in search of DNA samples combined with the hilarity of Professor Tillman’s seemingly odd behavior, often regimented and OCD like, is a laugh out loud fun story with some honest glimpses at the day in the life of an adult person who lives somewhere on the spectrum of autistic tendencies in a world where social norms are confusing, complex and important.
