Ali and Amirah is the main protagonist of the novel. They both are living in London but never seen each other before.
Ali is living with his family happy and a standard life. One day after coming back from high school he heard the news of his mother’s accident. She was in serious condition and Ali went straight to the hospital. Unfortunately, she loses the breath and died. He has the special attachment with his mother but there is nothing which he can do. At his mother’s funeral, he saw a beautiful girl name Amirah. In his first look on her, he notices everything like her hijab, red trainers, eyes lashes and how she talks. Ali can’t control his feeling about Amirah and same with the Amirah. Amirah is sworn to not get married but internally she wanted to someone like Ali.
