A family is living on the edge of the Russian wilderness and here the winter lasts more than seven months. Vasya is the teenage girl, she is a smart, active and skillful girl. She knows how to survive and think in the critical situation. Vasya likes to sit with her siblings around the fire and they listen to the fairy tales from the nurse. There are some of her interesting stories which include the blue-eyed winter demon and Frost. She did not like to listen to the wisdom stories, all she like is fantasy and demons.

There are unwary souls who are spirited and dedicated to saving their house from the evils. Vasya mothers die a few years ago and her father brings the new mother for them from Moscow. Fiercely thinks there is as such spirit which is protecting their house from the evils and this concept makes Vasya angry. Her stepmother is taking the control of the whole village and she wanted to groom the village in her own way. On the other side, she is forcing Vasya for marriage so she can take actions without any opposition. The life of the village’s people in danger, the spirit is near to break and the evils are knocking at the door.
