The secret is, they are robots, not humans. They have to hide their identity from the neighbours they make it through to graduation otherwise their neighbours won’t allow them. When kanga becomes the player of the basketball team, then Darryl feels jealous. Darryl has to work a million times harder to keep them both out of the spotlight. They both look like human and act perfectly. No one can judge them they are robots instead of a human. Furthermore, if anyone in their town were to find out what they truly are, they can stop to talk with them and show an angry mood in the middle of the school. All in all, The Obsoletes is a humorous and history science fiction novel.
