A shining season is the inspiring and biography book of a guy who won the running championship two times but later on, he died of cancer. William J Buchanan is the author of this tremendous book. John Willard Baker born in New Mexico with the passion of doing something remarkable in his life. His parents are low middle class but they facilitate their kid with their wishes and financially. He was good in studies and one day he discovers his passion for becoming an athlete. He was not too fit for running he decided to go out and test his abilities. John was in college when he first notices the coaches around him. He surprised everyone with his running skills and now John is ready to compete at the national level.

Everyone is supporting him over his hard work and he is also determined about his success. John won the championship of WAC Cross-Country twice. He makes everyone pride and he is looking forward to achieving more. John earned his degree in physical education where he trained the young kids at Aspen Elementary. One day, John become a cancer patient and unfortunately he died at the age of twenty-six. Later on, the school Aspen Elementary is named as John Baker Elementary. A true story of the brave fighter.
