Jasmin did not know much about her family background and she never asked about it. She was almost twenty-two years old when her father died. Jasmin was so disheartened and missing her father. A photograph fell from a stack of old furniture in which her mother was sitting in a red veil with a man whom he never saw. She does not know the story of this photograph and the person who was standing with her. Jasmin wanted to know about her but Lili refused to talk about her. She was frustrated and agony for Jasmin but then she received ten cassette tapes from her mother and letters. These letters and tapes contain the whole story of Jasmin and her mother, and how she comes from Iran. For the first time, Jasmin came to know that she has a sister in Iran and her real father was the person standing with her mother in the photograph.
