Colson Whitehead is one of the famous American authors, The Underground Railroad is the 6th novel by Colson Whitehead PDF. This book is about two slaves Cora and Caeser who works on a cotton plantation. Slavery life is often very hard but it was much harder for Cora even her fellow Africans slaves were better than her. When the pain is greater then there is nothing better than death.

The Cora’s life changes when a new comer for Virgina told her about the Underground Railroad so they decided to take that risk. The things were completely opposite as they were planned. Cora killed a young boy who captures her and starts moving to the Underground Railroad which was a network of tunnels with tracks. Their first stay was in Southern California. The place looks like heaven but there was darkness inside. They travel from one place to another and kept seeking for true freedom. This story also depicts the terrors for black people in the pre-Civil War time and the hard times at the time of importing Africans. It is one of the best novels with courage, terror, and the historical incidents.
