“The Willie Lynch Letter and the Making of a Slave” is a book that examine how African Americans began contributing to white generational wealth, and how that continues till this day. Willie Lynch. is the author of this outstanding book. Willie was a man from Pittsylvania County, Virginia. In this book, Willie explains a planter from the West Indies hired in the early 1700s as a consultant to come to Virginia and help planters install the African slave system. He defines a system any planter can use to break his slaves and produce generations of conforming slaves.

The original independent spirited Black males must be viciously and maliciously tortured to near-death in front of his wife and other slaves, particularly slave females. That will implant recognition that Black males have no power and cannot play the role of protector. It, more importantly, implants fear for the lives of any Black male child she births, which leads her to raise them to be dependent and conforming. The book urges planters to use any differences between his Blacks to sow envy and discontent, old and young, house and field, light and dark-skinned. In the end, this book is actually depicts the current situation of African Americans in this country and how they struggle to support and fully press for change for one another.
