The novel gives the lesson of having the positivity in our mind will help us to heal better instead of having negativity in our mind. Grendel is nor a hero or an anti-hero, he has a choice to choose between the wrong and right. He has the choice to select the dragon negative side of nihilist view and selects the negative side of the dragon.

Grendel takes the negative side of the dragon and he is on the charge to create the violence in the world. There are two forces come across each other, one is on the right track as Beowulf, he chose the right side of the dragon which is shaper’s positive view and there is hope of betterment. While respect for Beowulf he chose the wrong side. There is the big war waiting for them, one is fighting for destruction and violence, other is fighting for saving the earth. Beowulf becomes the hero after the epic battle with Grendel. He puts all his strength to defeat him and in the end, he is successful.
