The book offers many anecdotes that provide the reader with an image of what these concentration camps were really like.

This book shows the readers that agonising life where in people of a particular background no longer hold right to survive, their existence becomes null and void and they are reduced to just numbers and nothing more. They are burned in the hell of nothingness, the shouts of their unaccomplished existence fall on the deaf ears of the dominant creatures of nether world, which do not resemble human beings. They are the brave killing machines of a demented and glacial universe where to be inhuman are human. In the end, this book is a powerful, well-written and eloquent account of what Elie and so many other Jews went through during the Holocaust.
